How do I start an A Bizarre Run race?

Be in Lobby on Place 73130560626141 before the countdown ends. Walk to the Ticket Booth and register. After register you cannot swap Jockey or mount species for that run. Pick a numbered Horse or Camel that is empty, then press N. If the riding HUD is missing, you are still on foot — do not Sprint into the pack like that.

Horse vs Camel is cosmetic. The five stats (Stamina, Acceleration, Handling, Top Speed, Boost Length) are the real race. Reroll costs 1,000 Cash on mounts. Codes (RELEASE 15k Cash) fund those rolls. Paste codes before you sit in Booth, not during the countdown. Next: the three speed verbs.

Tutorial race is not the paid Stage 1

Tutorial includes a practice race and a short Boss with Block. Finish or skip Tutorial so Lobby exists, then treat Ticket Booth as the real start. The Tutorial Stand card is not a Stage 1 win condition.

How do Sprint, Slipstream, and Boost work?

Sprint (Shift on the riding recap) drains Stamina. At zero, the mount tires and slows. Burst Sprint; do not hold it from Booth to GOAL. Slipstream is extra speed while you sit behind another rider, and it does not cost Stamina. That is the free resource. Boost is the limited burst. One recap says Boost is Z on mount; another says C. Treat the Boost bind as Unverified until your HUD label wins — find the control that spends Boost Length, then stop pressing it in the canyon.

A second recap (Blaxie) claims one Boost per stage. A third (Radex) talks Sprint + Boost as stamina habits without a one-charge cap. That split is Unverified. Play as if Boost is scarce: if the HUD shows a single charge, you already saved it; if it regenerates, still do not dump it in the canyon crowd. Slipstream stays the default pass.

SlipstreamNoneAnytime you can sit behind a rider
BoostBoost Length / possibly one charge (Unverified)Last straight, not canyon

Third-place Slipstream

A beginner recap sits around third so Slipstream stays available, then overtakes on the final section. Leading the canyon with a spent tank is how you get passed on the meadow. Pack riding is not cowardice; it is the free speed rule.

What is the Stage 1 route?

Public recaps name this order: open plains, canyon / rock corridor, collapsing wooden bridge, desert rock formations, downhill meadow, GOAL arch. Then a passenger train intermission and Stage 2. The listing’s San Diego → Trinity Church flavor is world copy; live Race is two stages.

Canyon: dense pack. Do not waste Boost. Grass and trees slow you; hitting a tree is a full stop. Steer for dirt lines when the HUD makes them obvious. Downhill meadow: natural extra speed — this is the Slipstream pass, not a panic Boost unless you already saved one. Desert rocks are a sightline and a place recaps show dynamite on walls — see shooting, below.

Can I shoot other riders in Stage 1?

No. Allthings-style recaps: Stage 1 is not shooter-versus-rider. PvP proper waits for Stage 2. If you unload a Revolver into a jockey here, you are fighting the mode. Sidearm still exists for environment.

Blaxie-style recaps add environmental sabotage: shoot dynamite on canyon walls for rock slides, shoot cacti or roadside barrels to blast nearby mounts, break wood / tunnel supports, even gasoline patches. Those interactions are Unverified against the strict no-shoot-riders line. The sentence this wiki will stand on: shoot HAZARDS, not riders. If a hazard blast knocks someone, that is the map, not a Stage 1 kill feed you should hunt.

Guns still matter later

Run Shop on the train is one gun at a time: default Revolver, Ammo $12, Lasso $75, Shotgun $500, Dynamite as starter stock. Buy for Stage 2, not to grief Stage 1. Details on items.

Stand nails on Stage 1

Tusk is an S ranged kit on the tier list, but Stage 1’s no-rider-shot rule means you should not plan Tusk as a Stage 1 sniper until HUD says nails are legal on jockeys. Sandman is the Stage 1 Stand.

What happens if the wooden bridge collapses?

Part of the wooden bridge gives way. You can drop into sand below. That is not a DNF by itself. Climb back to the course and rejoin. Sprinting in the pit drains Stamina you need for the meadow. If a tree or full stop already dumped you, Call Horse does not apply until Stage 2 knockoffs — on Stage 1 you are usually still mounted unless the fall dismounts you. If you are on foot, N remount when the numbered animal is in range; HUD labels TBA.

Do not Boost on broken planks hoping to skip the physics. The cheap recovery is a calm climb. Riders who stayed on the remaining deck will be ahead; Slipstream still exists if any pack remains. Sandman on foot is the Stand answer if the mount is gone and the climb is slow — confirm live.

How should I spend the last straight?

The last straight is where leftover Stamina and Boost are supposed to die. You paid for them. Dumping Boost in the canyon is how you arrive at GOAL on an empty tank while third place Slipstreams past you. If the one-Boost-per-stage claim is true on your HUD, this is the only legal spend. If Boost regenerates, still spend the last bar here rather than dying with it.

Over-steer into a last tree is a full stop at the worst time. Keep Handling in mind: a 1,000 Cash reroll that raised Top Speed and dumped Handling will throw this straight. Finish under the GOAL arch. Then train. Do not dismount to emote; Stage 2 still exists.

What do I get for finishing Stage 1?

Even mid pack pays Cash and a Spin Ticket. One recap example: 12th, 0 KOs, 0 Sabotage → $288 and 1 Spin Ticket. Treat that row as an example, not a formula — live HUD wins. Spin Tickets go to the wheel after Stage 1 (Cash, Rokakaka, fragments, or Shiny Arrow — odds TBA). Do not spend the ticket in a rumor Lobby vendor.

Then the train Run Shop and Stage 2 Bounty pick. First clears: keep cheap Revolver ammo, take Easy Bounty, hit Checkpoints first. The beginner guide is the full first-session order. This page only owns Stage 1.
